Educational Tour Organized by DPS Warangal: A Memorable Journey of Learning and Exploration
Delhi Public School, Warangal, organized an enriching educational tour from October 2 to 8, 2024. A total of 64 students embarked on this seven-day excursion, exploring Mysore, Coorg, Ooty, Coonoor, and Coimbatore.
Highlights of the Tour:
- Mysore Palace: The journey began at this majestic Indo-Saracenic architectural marvel, offering insights into Karnataka’s rich heritage.
- Philomena’s Church: Students visited one of India’s largest cathedrals, renowned for its Gothic architecture inspired by Cologne Cathedral.
- Chamundi Hill: A spiritual visit to the Chamundeswari Temple, dedicated to the goddess who defeated the demon Mahishasura.
- Brindavan Gardens: The evening concluded with a stunning musical fountain show, a perfect end to their Mysore visit.
- Mysore Zoo: The group explored one of India’s oldest zoos, learning about wildlife conservation while observing diverse species in a natural setting.
Coorg Adventures:
- Abbey Waterfalls: Students enjoyed the scenic beauty of these breathtaking waterfalls, cascading from 70 feet.
- Omkareshwara Temple & Raja Seat: In Madikeri, they visited the temple and enjoyed a picturesque sunset view from Raja Seat.
Wildlife Experience:
- Bandipur National Park: A thrilling wildlife safari allowed students to observe elephants, peacocks, and deer in their natural habitats.
Ooty & Coonoor:
- Doddabetta Peak: The journey continued to Ooty and Coonoor, where students took in panoramic views and visited a tea garden and processing factory to learn about tea production.
Coimbatore Attractions:
- Aadi Yogi Shiva Statue: Students were mesmerized by this impressive statue, followed by an exciting laser show.
- Geedee Naidu Car Museum: The tour concluded with a visit to this museum, featuring a unique collection of classic cars.
This educational tour beautifully blended learning with recreation, providing students with valuable insights into India’s historical and natural wonders, while fostering a deeper appreciation for culture, wildlife, and technology. The experience left students with unforgettable memories.
